The budget email platform that quietly does 90% of what the big names charge triple for.

Excellent
Our verdictMoosend is the platform we point people to when they say every email tool got expensive. The drag-and-drop editor is quick, the automation builder handles the flows a small business actually uses - welcome series, cart abandonment, re-engagement - and deliverability held up well in our sends. You give up the deep ecosystem of a Klaviyo or an ActiveCampaign: fewer native integrations, a smaller template library, no built-in CRM. But at a third of the price, Moosend covers the work that makes money and skips the shelf-ware.

✓ Pros

  • Aggressive pricing - unlimited emails on every paid tier, and the subscriber-based ladder climbs slowly
  • Automation builder is genuinely capable: branching, site-visit triggers, cart abandonment for ecommerce
  • Clean, fast campaign editor with none of the lag that plagues bigger suites
  • Solid deliverability in our test sends, with straightforward domain authentication setup

✗ Cons

  • Integration catalog is thin next to ActiveCampaign or Klaviyo - check your stack before committing
  • Template library is functional but dated; expect to build your own look
  • No free tier anymore - the 30-day trial is the only test window

What stands out

The economics. Every Moosend plan includes unlimited sends, the full automation builder, landing pages and forms - features the big platforms gate behind their mid tiers. A 5,000-subscriber list costs roughly what 500 subscribers cost elsewhere. For a small business whose email program is a welcome flow, a weekly newsletter and a promo blast, paying Klaviyo prices is donating money, and Moosend is the correction.

Living with it

Campaigns go out fast: the editor loads instantly, blocks snap where you expect, and the spam-test preview catches the obvious mistakes. Automations are visual and forgiving - we rebuilt a three-branch welcome flow from a bigger platform in under an hour. The rough edges show up at the boundaries: a niche CRM without a native integration means leaning on Zapier, and the reporting is competent but shallow compared to the analytics suites upmarket tools ship.

Should you buy it?

If your list is under ~25,000 and your email program is revenue-focused rather than analytics-obsessed, Moosend is the best dollar-for-dollar platform we have tested. Ecommerce stores on Shopify or WooCommerce get the abandonment flows that pay for the subscription in a weekend. If you live inside HubSpot or need deep multichannel attribution, stay upmarket. Use the 30-day trial to migrate one real flow and one real campaign - the price difference will make the decision for you.

Best for

Small businesses and creators who want real automation and clean deliverability without a triple-digit monthly bill.
